[edit] Separate schools
The biggest distinction in Euclid's format from those found at other schools is the incorporation of the Knowledgeworks Foundation, a school program funded by Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Essentially, the program divides Euclid High into six smaller 'schools'. This includes the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math,[1] International Academy of Accelerated Achievement,[2] The Professional Path,[3] Euclid Academy of the Arts,[4] Academy of Intellectual and Interpersonal Development,[5] and Business and Communications School.[6] Each section of the school focuses on its area of concentration.
[edit] 2008 Fire
Two seniors set fire to a locker on the third floor of the high school on May 23, 2008. The school was evacuated and students were sent directly home from the stadium. No one was hurt. The students who started the fire were arrested.[7]
