Montfoort (52°3′N, 4°57′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Montfoort, and lies about 7 km southeast of Woerden.

In 2001, the town of Montfoort had 7720 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.5 km2, and contained 3016 residences.[1] The statistical area "Montfoort", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 7960.[2]
