Koewacht (51°14′N, 3°58′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Terneuzen, and lies about 37 km southwest of Bergen op Zoom.

In 2001, the town of Koewacht had 1566 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.57 km2, and contained 645 residences.[1] The statistical area "Koewacht", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2180.[2]
