[edit] Ety Fanboy
I have to agree that the fanboy nature of this page is really annoying, in particular the apologist comments regarding the fit and lack of bass. Unfortunately I also notice that at least one editor has also done the opposite for some competitors to Ety.
[edit] 'Nameology'
I was wondering in what language Etymotic is from.
[edit] Possible POV
Perhaps it would be good to tone down the positive tone of this page. Quoting impedance and iLounge awards is fine, but do we have to say "most innovative patents...for a company that is only 22 years old"? We wouldn't want this article to look like previous versions of the Klipsch article; the history shows some horrifying fanboyism. MetraB 00:52, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Organization of products
Nice page, guys (and gals, although, when was the last audiophilic lady you met lately? sad. but that's by the way)... Back on topic, perhaps more of Etymotic's products (such as the Ety-Com) ought to be listed and in a more organized fashion? Those doing consumer headphone research on wikipedia will appreciate it! =) Dept of Alchemy 01:55, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Origin of name 'Etymotic'
Etymotic (et-im-OH-tik) means “true to the ear”. It is a “new ancient Greek word” coined in 1975 by Professor RV Schoder, a classics scholar at Loyola University.
Should this information be included on the main page?
[edit] New screenshot of the website
Being new user I do not know copyright status of website screenshots. I uploaded PNG version to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Etymotic_website.png together with copyright information from Etymotic webpage. I created this file myself using software that I can legally use. Feel free to supplement copyright information and replace http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Etymotic-research-website.jpg with the new picture.Bronek 21:02, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
