Etsakor people

The Estakor people are one of the major ethnic groups in northern Edo State, Nigeria. They presently occupy three local government areas of Edo State; these are Etsakor East, Etsakor West and Etsakor Central, with Agenebode, Auchi, and Fugar as their administrative headquarters.[citation needed]

The Etsakor people practice Christianity, Islam, and traditional religions. Oghena, Osinegba, and Oshio are the words for God in different communities of Etsakor people.[citation needed]

Etsakor People are widely known for their Etsakor Music, with artists like Hon.Vincent Ugabi, Sir Waziri Oshoma, Late Gen.Bolivia Osigbeme, Late Madam Agbaobesi, Benji Igbadumhe, Agbi Dance Groups of Weppa Wanno etc, that entertain a wide spectrum of Nigerians both in Edo & Delta states to Lagos and to the northern states of Abuja and Kano. Etsakor Music can be arguably described as the biggest influence the Etsakor people have over their neighbours, as some of these neighbours adopt Etsakor Music as their known and acceptably traditional music. inaddition to that, if it comes to ceremonies,like wedding parties,burial,lunching these etsako musician are always at their best.for chief vincent ugabi that resides in agenebode,his known for his angelic and charming voice in traditional highlife music.For, sir waziri oshoma his always a traditional lighlife lengend which rhythm and sound little bit different from chief vincent ugabi.
