[edit] Sequel!
I just heard about the sequel today...damn I can't wait! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.122.197 (talk) 06:09, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dr.Hoffman Cameo
Should it be noted that Dr.Hoffman from Trauma Center appears in this game as well? 76.102.62.11 21:41, 12 June 2007 (UTC) He doesn't appear..it's just his evil twin lookalike. But yeah, worth mentioning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.122.197 (talk) 17:31, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Release date
Amazon.com has the game available for pre-order and claims it will ship May 7, 2007. Is this reliable enough information to change the North American release date? (It's stuck at the vague "Q1 2007" at the moment.) 68.35.129.180 20:27, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- Absolutely not, Amazon is frequently delayed in shipping pre-release items. The official North American site lists May 16 as the release date. Pelladon 16:42, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Name Change
Game has been renamed ETRIAN ODYSSEY for the U.S. release.[1] Slimeknight
[edit] FOE
What does this have to do with FOE? Bilge [TC] 13:42, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Errr... As it stands at the moment, the article says nothing at all about FOEs. Are you implying that you think this is important material to cover? For reference, the FOEs are powerful adversaries that are found in the dungeon. --Slordak 14:09, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

- FOEs are wandering, map-visible minibosses that wander around certain sections of the game, and respawn a few (3?) days after you kill them. As per the flash vid, they are generally fearsomely tough, and can wander into your boss encounters for added "fun". In the Japanese version, it stands for Field-On Enemy, referring to their visibility, which distinguishes them from regular random encounters. In the American release, the acronym is given to be "Foedus Obrepit Errabundus", translated from the Latin by 1up as "the vile, wandering one sneaks up." (http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3159541 ) I suppose this could be included in the article, but I fear it might be too detailed, and I'm not sure 1up is a sufficiently solid Source. - echonull 02:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

- This would appear to referee that the translation by 1up is indeed accurate, and also may be a very useful URL to hang onto! Bilge [TC] 23:32, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- The 1up article is wrong as it was based on an early version of the game. They went with Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens instead. 72.200.40.242 20:50, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
