EtosTV

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

EtosTV is a death-themed German satellite and Internet television channel, the first such channel in the world, created with the support of the German funeral home association [1].

The plans for the channel were unveiled in June 2007. It was due to start its broadcast in the autumn of 2007, but has been delayed until January 2008.[2] The channel aims to provide practical information about death, such as the various burial rites and also documentaries about famous graveyards.[3] The channel will also provide information for the elderly. The channel will inform them about life insurance, funeral insurance, home nursing services, and useful helps such as stair lifts.

The channel will be available on the Astra 1 satellite position (19.2E), and also on the Internet.

It will be also possible to purchase video obituaries, which will be broadcast by EosTV and on their web site for a fee.
