Coordinates: 27°14′23″N 78°12′00″E / 27.23972, 78.2 Etmadpur is a town and a municipal board in Agra district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of 2001 India census[1], Etmadpur had a population of 19,412. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Etmadpur has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 63%, and female literacy is 45%. In Etmadpur, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

It is a small town located on national highway 2 connecting Delhi to Kolkata. There is one main market, a police station and a couple of banks and schools. Sankat Haran temple is devoted to Lord Hanuman whose huge idol had been erected in the campus. There is also one big jain temple. There is also a Devi temple known as Khairani Mata Mandir.

Mr. Narayan Singh of Bahujan Samaj Party won the 2007 state assembly elections to become the MLA from Etmadpur. [2]
