Etiocholanolone (or aetiocholanolone) is a metabolite of testosterone. Classified a ketosteroid, it causes fever, immunostimulation and leukocytosis; is used to evaluate adrenal cortex function, bone marrow performance and in neoplastic disease for immunostimulation. Synonym: 5-isoandrosterone.
