Wallace Ethridge Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Garland, Texas (USA). The attendance rate for students at the school is 97%, compared with a state average of 96%. 73% of the students at Ethridge are economically disadvantaged, 7% enroll in special education, 3% enroll in gifted and talent programs, and 56% are considered "limited English proficient."[3]
The ethnic makeup of the school is 56% Hispanic, 14% White, non-Hispanic, 17% Asian/Pacific Islander, 12% African American, and 1% Native American.[3]
The average class sizes at Ethridge are 21 students for kindergarten, 21 students for first grade, 20 students for second grade, 17 students for third grade, 18 students for fourth grade, and 23 students for fifth grade.[3]
Teachers at the school carry, on average, 10 years of teaching experience and 7% of the teachers on staff are first-year teachers.[3]
