Ethelred

Ethelred is an Old English name meaning "noble council" or ("well advised") (æþel and ræd, cf. German Adel and Rat).
Several persons of Anglo-Saxon England were named Æthelred or Ethelred:

King Ethelred is also the name of Princess Daphne's father in the Dragon's Lair backstory.
