[edit] Romanization of ESŢFĀN AL-DWAYHĪ

Romanization of Arabic names is a tough subject. Most references to our great Patriarch would ignore the Al or El to the benefit of the contracted form without Al Atta'rif. The association for the Beatification of our Patriarch has also adopted the contracted form. Anyhow, if a wikipedia user type Estephan El Douaihy in the search box, he will find the page as a first choice. We may also create a Redirection page, but it is cumbersome. Personally, I prefer to put the variants in the text. Now that a page exists on Wikipedia, let's enrich it. Thanks to all.youcroft 16:11, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

but in the search engines on google it apears el douaihi .. it would be great if u can fix it to be El Douaihy as it is. thx (the spelling is very important, in our family we have had a big problem and debate lately and as u notice douaihy.net and douaihy.org the right spelling is El Douaihy. by putting the wrong spelling ur encouraging few to use doueihy or whatever. thanks for understanding—Preceding unsigned comment added by Douaihy (talk • contribs) 21:52, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
