Estrostep

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Estrostep is the brand name for a female combined oral contraceptive pill, distributed by Warner Chilcott.

It is the first of its kind in that it is the only oral contraceptive that changes estrogen levels while keeping progestin levels constant. The estrogen doses are as follows: 20 mg for 5 days, 30 for 7 days and 35 for 9 days. In addition, the 7 placebo pills contain iron to help replace what is lost during the "pill period." Studies have shown that it helps significantly with acne. [1]
