Estadio Municipal Germán Becker

Estadio Municipal Germán Becker is a stadium located in Temuco, Chile and owned by the Temuco municipality. It is home to Deportivo Temuco and Provincial Temuco football clubs. It was designed by Enrique Estévez and inaugurated on March 18 or August 13, 1965. Its dimensions are: 105 x 68 m. It has a capacity of 20,930. Over 80% of the seats are roof-covered. It was originally built for the inmates at the Temuco prison.
In 2007 the stadium was selected as a venue for the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, and to comply with FIFA standards, its facilities will be improved, its capacity will be decreased to 18,000; and all seats will be covered by a roof. The changes are due to be completed by September 2008.
