Heard back from the contact at a Yiddish website about rebbetzin/rebbitzin that "It's a Hebrew word with 2 feminine suffixes attached to it." When I asked if these were Russian and German, she said, "Not necessarily Russian, but some Slavic language - probably Ukrainian or Belarussian." — kwami (talk) 21:53, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
