Esmond is a village in DeKalb County, Illinois, United States. The population was 291 at the 2000 census.

Esmond is located at 42°02′01″N, 88°56′08″W (42.0336383, -88.9356512)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 22.1 square miles (57.239 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 291 people residing in the village. There were 107 housing units in the village. The racial makeup of the village was 94.50% White, 0.70% African American, 0% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.30% from other races, and 4.10% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.70% of the population.

There were 102 households out of which 32.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.5% of the were married couples living together, 2.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.6% were non-families. All non-family households were made up of individuals and 4.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.27.

In the village the population was spread out with 30.2% under the age of 19, 5.2% from 20 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 4.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35.7 years. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $43,438, and the median income for a family was $50,536. Males had a median income of $32,292 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,101. About 4.0% of families and 4.8% of the population were below the poverty line.
