Eskdale Green railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eskdale Green railway station is a railway station on the 15" gauge Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway in Cumbria. Originally known as King of Prussia after the nearby Public House and then its current name, it changed to The Green in the 1960s to get rid of the confusion with this station and the then-name of the terminus, Eskdale (Dalegarth). The current name saw reuse in 2007 after the renaming and reopening of the terminus as Dalegarth for Boot.
During the high season, it may be manned by the volunteers from the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway Preservation Society, who sell tickets from the booking office and shelter and act as station masters.
The station is located 4¾ miles from Ravenglass and 2¼ miles from Dalegarth.
