When I started to read that story to my kids, I thought the scheme would backfire on the gent. I was quite gratified that he actually pulled it off. But he'll have quite a secret to keep . . .



I'm pretty sure the article is mistaken about the turtle being also-known-as Esio Trot. The phrase was used in the book solely as a magical incantation Poppy suggested to Silver to get her turtle to grow.

ESIO TROT is TORT OISE spelled backwards. Saxophobia 16:53, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
