eSignal is a charting package, developed by eSignal (owned by Interactive Data Corporation). eSignal and eSignal Pro provide streaming data of financial markets and allow users to examine the data using fundamental analysis and technical analysis.[1][2]
eSignal, a Windows-based application, uses JavaScript as the basis for the scripting language that programmers and traders can use for building custom indicators. Although this gives eSignal a much wider skill base from which to draw programmers for writing indicators, the company has been criticized for the bugs in its libraries and packages. By comparison, TradeStation created its own trader-oriented language called EasyLanguage and Ninja Trader took the route to use .NET's built in language C#.

A full listing of formula study add-ons is on the eSignal site.
