[edit] Phylogenetic implications of Eshanosaurus
If Eshanosaurus is really a therizinosaur, it would complicate the therizinosaur cladogram because it is older than Falcarius, the first therizinosaur of the Cretaceous period. The placement of Eshanosaurus within Therizinosauria follows Kirland et. al. (2005) and Xu et. al. (2002).
