At a minimum it is probably worth creating a list of WW-II Destroyers (DD) which were redesignated Escort Destroyer (DDE). [I know the USS O'Bannon was one, and there are probably many others.

Also more information on the type of modification performed, and the intended usage would be helpful.

If more information is discovered on the ASW (DDK) modifications and usage, a page for those might also be worth creating. Occasional Reader 15:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
