The Escuerzo (Lepidobatrachus asper) is a species of frog in the Leptodactylidae family. It is found in Argentina, Paraguay, and possibly Bolivia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, intermittent freshwater marshes, intermittent saline lakes, pastureland, and ponds. It is threatened by habitat loss.
