Escobar District

Escobar is a district in Paraguay, located 14k east of Paraguari on the Paraguari-Villarrica road. The mayor, Eduardo Burgos, is from the Colorado Political Party. The small town of 5000+ has a health post, a police station and a post office. Seven small rural towns are part of Escobar and those include, Arroyo Pora, Chircal, Guazu-Cua, Mbocayaty and General Aquino. It has a small swim hole, Ita Cajon. Escobar is also known for its turn of the century Railway station. In 2002, Escobar celebrated its 100 years of existence. The town color is pink.
