Escape from the Carnival of Horrors was R.L. Stine's first written gamebook as well as the first released book in the all new spin-off series, Give Yourself Goosebumps. It was released in July of 1995 on Scholastic Press. In addition to the usual choices, this book includes a number of special gimmicks that make it more fun, most of them involving carnival games.
[edit] Plot Summary
Late one night you and your friends visit the old fairgrounds. The carnival has returned to town. Last year it was pitiful, but this year it's larger, more spectacular, and (of course) totally evil. The place is lit by a hundred fiery torches. And spooky music is coming from the main tent. Then you meet Big Al, the creepy carnival manager. He's invited you in to test some of the rides. Will you brave the terrifying Supersonic Space Coaster? Risk the horrors of the Reptile Petting Zoo? Slice through the oily waters of Bogger Bog? Or confront the evil Snake Lady?
The choice is yours in this book that offers over 20 endings!
[edit] Trivia
This book references Monster Blood (It Can Help you get out of the carnival and it eats the carnival) , Night of the Living Dummy And One Day at Horrorland (The Doom Slide) . Slappy makes a cameo in the book.
