Escalier de l'Art

L'Escalier de L'Art or Escalier Saint-Nicolas des Arts, the Saint Nicolas Stairs, is located between Rue Sursock and Rue Gouraud in Achrafieh, Beirut. It's proximity to the Sursock Museum and the Orthodox Archbishopric of Beirut, make the 125 steps and 500 meters span staircase a very popular destination for tourists visiting Beirut. Since 1973, the stairs have been used as an open-air art exhibition site that occurs twice every year.
L'Escalier De L'Art is the longest staircase in the Middle East.
