[edit] Law Society of Alberta

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Law Society of Alberta, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.lawsocietyalberta.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 06:19, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Law Society of Alberta. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. [edit] George Bazeley Scurfield

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of George Bazeley Scurfield, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: George Scurfield. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Elizabeth Scurfield, you will be blocked from editing. Ros0709 (talk) 17:05, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
You are continuing to rename pages by replacing the original with a redirect and pasting the original text into a new page. This loses the edit history. You should instead simply move the page to the preferred new name (see the tag at the top of the page) and this will automatically leave a redirect from the old name to the new. The newly named page will retain the entire edit history. Ros0709 (talk) 17:11, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Elizabeth Scurfield. Quercus basaseachicensis (talk) 17:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Formatting

  1. The Wikipedia Layout Guide says:
"Between paragraphs and between sections, there should be only a single blank line. Multiple blank lines unnecessarily lengthen the article and can make it more difficult to read."
  1. WP:MSH explains that the Wikipedia style is to use sentence case in headings, and not title case, so only the first word and proper nouns are capitalised. Please do not capitalise other words in headings.

[edit] Speedy deletion of Sneak Attack (album)

A tag has been placed on Sneak Attack (album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Thingg 16:11, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion of Sneak Attack (album)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Sneak Attack (album), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Thingg 16:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
