Es Cana

Es Cana is a 'family friendly' resort on the Spanish island of Ibiza. It is located on the eastern part of the island, some 45 minutes from the airport. It is home to the Ibiza hippy market, which takes place every Wednesday. This does have adverse effects on traffic in the area due to its popularity. By foot the market is 20 minutes from the resort centre.
The main focus of the resort is the wonderful horseshoe shaped bay that is perfect for families. The sand is clean and the sea is clear and shallow making it perfect for those with young children. There are various water sports on offer for a small fee.
Bordering the beach are a number of restaurants and bars. All have Satellite TV so you won't have far to travel when the football is on. There is varied entertainment, from family cabaret bars, to karaoke bars and more intimate restaurants. Not to mention a plentiful supply of gift shops, supermarkets (one big others small) and locals selling day tours too.
During summer 2007, in the resort centre a small children's orientated fair ground that proves to be very efficient at emptying parents wallets and keeping the little ones happy.
Just behind the beach is a small square where there is a small tourist information office. There is a taxi rank and the bus stop too. The bus can be take to Santa Eulalia, which is the nearest town and from there throughout the rest of the island.
