[edit] Removing author's names
I don't think whacking author names is a good idea - usually someone went to some trouble to get them in there, and without links to articles where the information might be, the information is simply gone now and will need re-creation later. Stan 23:38, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with Stan. While they names really belong in the articles about the individual species, those articles don't exist yet. All we have is one article about a cultivar. Until someone is motivated enough to add an article for each species, let's put the authors back again. Authors are sometimes a pain to put together.Nereocystis 03:30, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with Stan as well. We're in the process of describing taxons down to the level of genus, or exceptionally to the level of species (for well-known species). It will probably take many more years before a sufficient number of species have been described. Untill then, let's leave relevant information in the genus article. I propose reverting this article.
