Eroto-comatose lucidity
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eroto-comatose lucidity is a technique of sex magic developed by Aleister Crowley. It is intended to be use to achieve a deep trance for the purpose of obtaining divinatory or prophetic visions.[1] It was first documented in Crowley's Liber CDLI which comprises chapter 15 of Liber CDXIV.
In this technique, an individual, aided by one or more "experienced attendants" engages in sexual activity to the point of exhaustion, then is awoken by further sexual stimulation. Success in the endeavour is indicated either by a "final performance of the sexual act" or by "persistence until death" -- a death Crowley terms the "Mors Justi."[2]
