Ernest Vincent has been employed in the international exhibition and convention industry for over thirty years. He is 59 years of age and a citizen of the United Kingdom. Ernest specialises in the management of purpose built venues for international exhibitions, conferences, special events and major press conferences.

Since 2003 Ernest has been the Chief Executive of The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), Westminster, London - the UK’s premiere destination for high impact government and non-government meetings. The QEIICC is a government owned property and it is a highly successful conference centre which each year meets or exceeds its targets. A high level of security, exceptional customer care and five star catering are the well-known trademarks of the QEIICC.

Before joining the QEIICC, Ernest was The General Manager of Toronto’s National Trade Centre (now renamed The Direct Energy Centre). This one million square foot exhibition and convention centre is one of the largest facilities of its type in North America and hosts over 100 major exhibitions and conferences each year.

Earlier in his career - between 1980 to 1986 - Ernest was part of the senior management team at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC). He had responsibility for starting the NEC’s in house organising capability bringing to the NEC new revenue streams and sponsorship opportunities. Ernest’s work at the NEC led to him being invited to Hong Kong to open the first phase of The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). During his term in Hong Kong - from 1986 to 1992 - Ernest saw the occupancy of the HKCEC rise to 80% and for it to become one of the most successful venues for exhibitions and meetings in the world.

Whilst in the Far East, Ernest also managed the opening of The Queen Sirikit National Conference Centre for the highly successful 1991 meetings of The World Bank and International Monetary Fund. During the 1990’s Ernest also managed further projects in Taiwan and Thailand.
