Ernie Harwell was also the voice used on the excellent computer baseball game,"Baseball For Windows." Produced by APBA it was a legendary game where he was the announcer. www.apbagames.com
[edit] Retirement
This article needs to say how and when Harwell retired, etc. Also, any audio samples of him would improve the article. I remember listening to his last call on his last game for the tigers and his brief, unpretentious retirement words over the air.
