[edit] Clean up
I put the clean up tag on this because I think it could do with some work. I'm going to be adding to it over the next week or so. I've rewritten the intro, added a pic, and have started to add his complete bibliography, although it's so long, I'm wondering if I should only select from it. Will keep working on it as time permits. SlimVirgin 04:55, Jan 11, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Gellner's war service
I don't have any special information on this, but I do know that "Dunkirk" is usually applied to the retreat of the British Expeditionary Forces from France in the early summer of 1940. Since Gellner couldn't have joined the Army until 1943-44 (when he was 18), the "seige of Dunkirk" referred to by the writer of the article must be in error. Perhaps in the fall of 1944, British/Canadian Forces might have beseiged Dunkirk on their advance towards Belgium, but if so, a more detailed references is needed so as to avoid ambiguity.17:38, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
