Ernst Østrup

Ernst Vilhelm Østrup (1845-1917) was a Danish botanist and algologist, mainly working on diatoms.

The diatom genus Oestrupia H. Heiden and the species Diploneis oestrupii Hustedt, Surirella oestrupii Gran and Navicula oestrupii Cleve are named for him.
