Ernie Carletti

Ernie Carletti (born April 9th, 1975 in Childs, Maryland) is an American guitar player and guitar teacher who taught in the Wilmington area of Delaware. He has also played in the band Naughy Naughty. Ernie was a member of the heavy metal band Iced Earth for 4 months, replacing Ralph Santolla, although he didn't appear on any records or perform live with the band.

On September 19, 2006, He was arrested on multiple rape counts stemming from a 2003 incident in which he allegedly held a University of Delaware woman at gunpoint, kidnapped, transported, and restrained her where he then raped her multiple times. He was held on $335,000 Cash Bond at Gander Hill prison in Delaware.

On October 9th, 2006 Jon Schaffer stated on Iced Earth's website that Ernie will no longer be a part of the band. Carletti would be replaced by Tim Mills.[1]

On November 19, 2007, he was convicted of rape and kidnapping in the first degree. [1].

On January 18, 2008, he was sentenced to 33 years in prison.
