Ernest Roeber

Ernest Roeber (1861-April 30, 1944) was a professional wrestler who held the European Greco-Roman Heavyweight Championship title in 1894-1900 and again in 1900-1901. It is believed that the newsreel of his 1901 match against August Faust at the old Madison Square Garden is shown briefly in the current intro to World Wrestling Entertainment programming
