Ernest Riedel (July 13, 1901March 26, 1983) was an American canoer who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics and in the 1948 Summer Olympics.

In 1936 he won the bronze medal in the K-1 10000 metre competition. In the K-1 1000 m event he finished fourth. He also competed in the K-2 1000 m event with his partner Burr Folks but they were eliminated in the first round.

Twelve years later he finished 12th in the K-1 10000 m competition.
