Ernest Foster

Ernest Foster was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club against the M.C.C. at Lords in 1901.

A right arm fast medium bowler, he bowled 10 overs without success and conceded 27 runs. He scored 2 in his only innings. George Hirst took 11 wickets and scored 86 and 18 not out and despite Bill Storey's 107, Yorkshire ran out winners by 6 wickets.

Born on November 23, 1873 in Bramley, Leeds, he died on April 16, 1956 in Moor Allerton in the same city.
