Ernest Bowen deSilva Elementary School is an elementary school in Hilo, Hawaii. The school mascot is the Superbees. DeSilva opened in 1959 and is better known as E.B. deSilva. The school's name was chosen after the superintendent that had died the same year the school was opened.[1] The school's principal Dennis O'Brien has been in service for 3 years. It has been chosen to be one of East Hawaii's distinguished primary schools.[2] Also, the robotics team has won 1st, 2nd, and the most penalties award in Robofest 2006.[3]
