Ernest Born (1898-1992) was an architect and artist who lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Born studied architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating from the school of Architecture in 1922 and earning a masters degree in 1923.

Born designed signage for the Bay Area Rapid Transit system, and collaborated with Corlett & Spackman to design the Glen Park and Balboa Park stations.

Born was an accomplished artist and illustrator as well. He spent a decade collaborating with author Walter Horn to produce the 1979 Plan of St. Gall, which Born illustrated.

He was married to Esther Baum Born, an architectural photographer.
