[edit] Former US Military base...

Seems odd that there's no mention of Ferris Barracks whatsoever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.87.20.98 (talk) 01:58, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Content dispute remarks moved from article to here

The current piece on the FAU reads as follows in the Erlangen city wiki. "In 1742, Count Friedrich of Bayreuth founded a university for the residency town Bayreuth, but due to the rebelliousness of the local students, the university was transferred to Erlangen. Only later did it obtain the name of "Friedrich-Alexander-University" and become a Prussian state university. Famous students of these times were Johann Ludwig Tieck and Wilhelm Heinrich Wackenroder."

The assertion that it became a "Russian state university" does not seem to make any sense and is not confirmed by the university's own online history. I suggest that the phrase "and became a Prussian state university" be stricken. --Tedcrackel (talk) 13:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC) Ted Crackel

[edit] Erlangen program

Talking about the Erlangen program in this article might (I think it is) relevant to this article. (Just a small note of course). 131.111.247.194 (talk) 13:18, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
