Erling Folkvord (born June 15, 1949 in Levanger, Norway) is a Norwegian politician who represents Red, previously Red Electoral Alliance (RV). He is the only member of Storting that the party has ever had.
Before he entered politics, he was a social worker. In 1983, he was elected to the city council in Oslo, where he sat for ten years. In the election of 1993 he was elected to Storting, the Norwegian parliament, where he sat as a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs. Folkvord is notable as the first and only representative from RV in Stortinget. When the term expired in 1997, he was not re-elected. In 1999 he was once again elected to the Oslo municipal council, and re-elected in 2003. Running for Parliament again in 2005, he once more failed to win a seat.
Folkvord has used his experience from the social sector and political life to write numerous books.
