Hm. Somebody mentioned the {{helpme}} tag, so what the heck, I'll try it.

Okay. I've been enjoying myself as a new wikipedian here, but I've noticed a few problems.

I've been going through the recent changes page and undoing vandalism, but I notice what I'm doing isn't really consistent with what others are doing. Usually I just hit 'undo' then 'save page' and no more vandalism... but that dosen't change the subject line (which others seem to be doing with a template) or put warnings on their user talk pages, or nominate them for banning, or...

Am I missing a really easy automated process for vandalism? Or do I just have to learn to do it the hard way?

Welcome to Wikipedia! Yes, there is an easier way of doing it - Twinkle! For finding vandalism I use Lupin's Anti-Vandal tool. And then use the 'Filter recent changes' (will appear in the toolbox on the left after you have installed the Anti-Vandal tool.) Make sure you read the information about both tools before using them. If you need any more help, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Heh. Thank you, very much! I forgot to sign my name (It's my own talk page!) But I've been remembering on many other pages that I added to. I usually am fairly good at finding my own vandalism (Found a few already) but Twinkle looks interesting, I'll go dig into that. Thank you, very much. Eriryoutan (talk) 17:29, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
