[edit] Better photo of Mineral King?
Hello, again. I've been wanting a better photo of Mineral King for quite a while. I'm not very familiar with the area (being an Eastern Sierra person, myself, it's hard for me to get over there). I found this photo at Flickr: is that of the main Mineral King valley, or some other valley? Do you have a better photo? Or a photo of Cabin Cove?
Thanks! hike395 06:28, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
I have no idea how to do this (obviously!), so I hope I'm doing this correctly.
I have photos taken from MK, specifically of Sawtooth Peak, a couple shots of a deer and one of a bear which aren't very identifying of the area, one of the Cabin Cove entrance sign, and one of some random trees. I'll get up the Cabin Cove and Sawtooth ones.
I can also get plenty more, as I have a cabin in Cabin Cove and go up there at least twice a month. :)
Thanks! Erinhayden 06:32, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- You're doing fine, don't worry. I'm taking your material and editing it into shape for Wikipedia. You can see what I'm doing, and learn from the introductory material, above. We always like new editors who can improve the encyclopedia.
- The easiest thing is to upload a photo just to the English wikipedia. You can find instructions on how to do this at WP:UPIMG hike395 06:36, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

- Oh, I forgot to say that the best pictures for an article is one that shows the main topic of the article. So, a bear in MK is not as good as, say, a picture of MK from one of the passes or peaks around it. For example, see Mammoth Lakes, California for an illustrative example, or Mammoth Mountain
I completely understand. Like I mentioned, I doubted a deer or bear would be an identifiable mark of MK. I am, however, uploading the Sawtooth and Cabin Cove images for use with the articles. :)

Thanks for letting me know, but that link doesn't take me to anything. :/ Do you have the correct one? Sorry for my misunderstanding. :)
Nevermind. It's fixed now :)
