[edit] Your comments about me
Ericj, I do not appreciate your comment "Keep Bad faith nomination, and clearly notable. Ericj 18:45, 23 July 2006 (UTC)". While notability, &c., is entirely your decision to hold, I do feel that "bad faith nomination" is uncalled for and unjustified. I made that nomination in entirely good faith -- my good faith belief was that ED was about as notable as Uncyclopedia -- I agree that Uncyclopedia is more notable than ED, but I do not personally feel that the difference in notability is as significant as to justify including one but excluding the other. I would include both, but my good faith belief was that if one is to be excluded then both should, which is why I renominatted the AFD of Uncyclopedia after the successful AFD of ED, because I personally felt that the successful AFDing represented a new precedent with respect to the boundary for notablity, in terms of the decisions of the Wikipedia community. Now, all of this is just my opinion, and is subject to rational agreement and disagreement, but I do think that to slander my intentions as "bad faith" is unnecessary & uncalled for, and I take offence to that. --SJK 08:17, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- There seems to be a popular misconception among ED users/lovers/haters that UN is somehow equal in purpose and notability to ED, which is simply not true. They are not joined at the hip, nor, for that matter, joined in any way, except in the minds of those that join them. There are many other sites with articles that should be deleted because they're even less notable than ED (possibly-interestingly, I would have voted against the deletion of the ED article, even though it was vanity and had notability problems, purely to avoid setting what appeared to be the precedent you based the nomination on)...
- However, after a deeper review, I was certainly too hasty. It just appeared to be related as a response to the deletion of the ED article. I apologize. Ericj 21:29, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wireless routers
I haven't seen them with 4 antennae before -- interesting. It would be kind of amusing to modify them (with motors) so they could walk :) Take care. The conference was a blast :) --Improv 04:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
