[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Brand Crush Plastic Bottle 500 ml.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Brand Crush Plastic Bottle 500 ml.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:58, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello there! I need some help at Portal:Peru. I want to synchronize Portal:Peru/Topics with {{Peru topics}}. The latter is more complete and more frequently updated. Can you transclude {{Peru topics}} at Portal:Peru/Topics? Thanks in advance. --Victor12 (talk) 14:00, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Cielo
A tag has been placed on Cielo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bfigura (talk) 02:45, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Peruvian districts
HI there! Thanks for adding these districts -I am doing the same to many of the african countries and started on Bolivia. I would however recommend that you unite all the districts in each region into one bigger navigation template and list the different provinces in sections down the side. An example would be like Template:Ljubljana but have the sections as provinces and districts. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 18:48, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- Good idea but not yet convinced, will result in quite large templates, take a look here: {{Districts of Ayacucho Region}} --ErickAgain (talk) 17:21, 14 April 2008 (UTC).
The new template looks good on your new articles. If you feel the template linked above is too big it can be set to collapsed anyway. Personally I think it is just about OK ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 16:53, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Soon enough I want to recategorize cities in peru by region like I have done with Chile etc. e.g Cities, towns and villages in the Lima Region. This way it prepares for growth as there are thousand sof towns and villages missing and it will be neatly organized in one category by region ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 17:31, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Take into account the existing categories like Cat:Towns in La Libertad Region, Cat:Towns in Peru and Cat:Cities in Peru.--ErickAgain (talk) 18:00, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] List of districts of Lima
Hello Eric, I've been making some edits to List of districts of Lima, mainly regarding foundation dates, but there seems to be a problem with the sort function. When I try to sort the districts by foundation date, Santiago de Surco (founded in 1929) appears in second place, right after Carabayllo, which was founded in 1821. I must have messed up the Surco entry, but I can't find where. Can you take a look? --Victor12 (talk) 23:03, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Victor, fixed it. I've included an invisible entry in each date cell between span /span keywords. This is used for sorting. When changing the visible date, also change the invisible info for the sorting to work as well. --ErickAgain (talk) 16:59, 26 April 2008 (UTC).
- btw, i've added some info (columns) to the excel-sheet with alcaldes you've got also to generate the district articles. Only have to copy/paste info in the article. --ErickAgain (talk) 16:59, 26 April 2008 (UTC).

[edit] Lots of districts
Hi! I see you're creating lots of pages which are districts. These are good pages.
Blofeld of SPECTRE also creates a lot of pages like that, and I'm not sure, but I think some method was found so that user's pages can be automatically marked as "patrolled", so that they don't show up as yellow in the new pages patrol list. You might want to find out if you can do something like that, too. See Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Archive 20#bot to auto-patrol experienced article creators. ☺ Coppertwig (talk) 15:43, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect of Category:Towns in Apurímac Region
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Towns in Apurímac Region, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Towns in Apurímac Region is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Towns in Apurímac Region, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 16:30, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes in case you didn't notice above I've reorganized Peruvian cities by region. Given that there are severlla thousand in each and many are villages or small towns this provides as with a better framework to develop content on. Hope you approve ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 17:48, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cajamarca (large image)
Hello Eric,
you first pulled down the photo ( 21:41, 29 March 2008 Ericbronder (Talk | contribs) (8,354 bytes) (Moved very large image down so not to distract from info.) Perhaps it did not look nice on your screen because you consider it to be "large".
Later you resized pictures ( 21:44, 29 March 2008 Ericbronder (Talk | contribs) (8,346 bytes) (restored original image widths.) Now the image doesnot look correct on my screen: The panorama-photo covers only half the size of a larger frame AND this frame hides parts of the frame between the map and the photo 'Central Placa' (which is NOT the Central Plaza in my opinion)
I use 1280 x 1024 pixels screen. As I said the image was supposed to be a panoramic photo.

--Euyasik (talk) 19:21, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's not common in wikipedia to start an article with a large image, large images tend to distract from the information in the article itself. The ratio of this specific image causes the image to show up as rather high in relation to its width. In general it's better not to specify too much parameters like width and height but let the system (wiki and/or browser) decide which is the best way to render an image. Be aware that sometimes you need to clear your browsers cache before the latest changes will be visible.
- The picture of the plaza shows part of the main square with the cathedral in the background, the caption can always be changed to something like "Central plaza and cathedral".
- Twinkle is a tool to administer changes more easily, but when using too many words in a summary, part of the automatically generated link is missing and only the part you saw ([[WP:TWINKLE|T) remains. Looks like a flaw in this tool.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:COA Cerro Azul District in Cañete Province.png
Thanks for uploading Image:COA Cerro Azul District in Cañete Province.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
The following images also have this problem:
