[edit] Disambiguation clean up
Hi Eric B
I am currently trying to eliminate disambiguation links from articles. In this work, I am curently working on Ministry which is a disambig for either;
- A ministry (government department) is a department of a government.
- The Ministry refers to all government ministers (whether or not they are in cabinet) led by a prime minister.
- Ministry (band) is the name of an industrial music band who released their first album in the 1980s.
- A religious ministry is a type of activity conducted by members of various faiths, particularly the various Christian faiths.
If you would be as kind as to make the the proper link in the your user page so it stops poping up in the disambig list.
If you would like to help out in generel see: Wikipedia:Disambiguation_pages_with_links
kind regards Angelbo 03:02, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Thank You
Quite frankly, I wasn't even thinking when I did the two reverts - the first came after I overreacted, seeing a significant portion of text being removed. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it wasn't blatant vandalism and the edit gave an explanation of the removal of text from the talk page, so I reverted myself, restoring it to the status quo. I don't wish to become involved in a content/article dispute, but if you need help, you may wish to see Wikipedia:Resolving disputes or request mediation from the Mediation Committee, of which I am a member of. Thank you for your understanding! Flcelloguy (A note?) 02:37, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Hangly.gif
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Hangly.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:1980t&j.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:1980t&j.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 01:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

- Is the Template what you were looking for? Is it correct now? If not, please discuss here first rather than just putting the tag back on the image and posting the same form statement as if I didn't even attempt to fix it, and that does not even tell me exactly what is wrong. Thank you. Eric B 02:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:1980t&j.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:1980t&j.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:46, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

- I'd very much like to see this made into a verifiable article, would you like me to restore it into your userspace so you could work on it? Get back to me on my talk page. east.718 at 07:39, November 24, 2007
- Unfortunately, it was resolved; AfDs close after seven days. The main concern was that the information was unverifiable and original research because of poor sourcing, and I agreed with that. My opinion doesn't really matter much either since AfDs are to be closed with consensus. I've restored the page to User:Eric B/LL Cool J - Kool Moe Dee battle; please get in touch when the article's ready for namespace as the edit history is needed for legal purposes. I've also got a huge collection of hip-hop books and can look for info this if you want, just contact me anytime. east.718 at 14:42, November 24, 2007
- Blogs and the sort aren't really verifiable... and primary source stuff like lyrics isn't either, since that would be your original interpretation. I've already found some books on the topic, and threw them inside my sandbox - maybe you can go to a library and check a few out? The book by Keyes is especially good, it includes detailed analysis of all the lyrics and everything. Hell, who knows - you might become only the second person to bring an article to featured status after it's been deleted. east.718 at 08:04, November 25, 2007

[edit] BoltBus
Much of the information is being added back. However, it would probably have been better to present it in prose, which is being done. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 13:48, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
