[edit] 12 Gauge
Hi, Eric!
I have moved the disambiguation link you added to Gauge (bore diameter) [1] to the main disambiguation page at Gauge. If Emerson Drive is sufficiently-notable, you can create a disambiguation page at 12 Gauge to split queries in the two appropriate directions.
Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

[edit] Rob Crosby
Hi Eric444. You are off to such a great start on the article Rob Crosby that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 21:03, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestions
You've done a very good job at edits and reverting vandalism on country music articles. I have a few suggestions for making even better pages:
- When making a page on a song, please try to add a bit more information than just a couple sentences (see my recently created Sacred Ground (song) as an example).
- Consider using Twinkle as a more effective method of reverting vandalism and reporting deletion.
- Consider using the {{cite}} and {{cite web}} template for references.
- Use the {{1990s-country-song-stub}} and {{2000s-country-song-stub}} (or whatever other decade fits) instead of just {{country-song-stub}}.
Keep up the good work! Oh, and here's a barnstar. Ten Pound Hammer • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps•Review?) 03:20, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] '90s and '00s country song stubs
Sorry for being so quick to re-delete the Cat:1990s country song stubs and the '00s: I should have noticed you were in the throes of populating them, and left you a note. The others, though, look like they'll be small for a while yet -- though please do keep up the good work in making use of the upmerged templates, they're bound to be of use sooner or later! Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 01:50, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bluegrass music groups recategorization
Please explain your recategorization of the Bluegrass music groups into Czech bluegrass music groups (containing 1 entry), and American bluegrass music groups (containing all others). Similarly with Bluegrass musicians into Canadian bluegrass musicians (containing 1 entry) and American bluegrass musicians (containing all others). This strikes me as excessive categorization; please explain. Also, was there any discussion of this prior to the move; if so where? Cmadler 14:42, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Impact on Popular Culture section deletion from Beach Music article
As the primary author of the Beach Music article, I'm rather perplexed as to why you would delete an entire section. If citations were needed, etc., why not just make note of that fact? The same if there were serious factual errors. I'm aware that this article has a ways to go to meet the highest standards of Wikipedia, but the (apparently) arbitrary deletion of an entire section seems to be a rather drastic measure, especially with no explaination given for the deletion. I'm putting the section back in. Bozthebuzzman (talk) 01:29, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

I think CMT.com misunderstood the certifications of the songs "Before He Cheats" and "Jesus, Take the Wheel". I searched RIAA website and I found out what CMT told us is not quite true. [edit] Send a Message to My Heart
Thanks for the clarification. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 14:05, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
This discussion is a good one! Songs absolutely should be standalone researchable articles. Songs are often recorded by multiple artists, are often on multiple albums, and should NOT be redirected to one artist's album. To redirect a song article to one artist’s album basically deletes all the vitals on the song (writers, other recordings, awards, and related links). Why should a hit song (certainly any charted song) be permanently tied within to one artist, when the artist's article can clearly link to the song, broadening the benefits of research? Also, the focus on what is a "notable" song and what is not "notable" should not be for one Wikipedian to decide IF the song was a chart hit in any of the major trade magazines. I say let the articles (songs and artists) always remain valuable independent sources and benefit from the existence of each...LINK THEM. Songs in many cases are bigger than the artist. Most song redirects that I have seen are deserving of protest. Thanks for contributing to the discussion on this. Wikibones (talk) 22:22, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

I was going to update Girl Out Of The Ordinary this morning with more info, but you beat me to it. I was also going to add Moody Blue this morning, but you beat me to that as well. =)
I don't know of other albums of hers aside from those two, which is a shame because I liked her first album and some of her songs with Lace (an album I also own an *AUTOGRAPHED* copy of, which I got at Hiawatha Horse Park and Slots in Sarnia, Ontario when she performed there).
I noticed you took out the followup info I added on the first album. Was this because the artist page already shows the info and it's deemed unnecessary on the album page because it's not related to the album?
NEwho, cheers for the update. I didn't have the producer info on hand either, so would have relied on you for that in any case. Keep up the good work. =)

for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at[edit] Speedy deletion of Smokin' Armadillos
A tag has been placed on Smokin' Armadillos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 04:22, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
