I come from Sønderborg in Southern Jutland, and for four years, I've been living on Suðuroy, the most southerly of the Faroe islands. I was very quickly fascinated by these tiny inkspots, far out in the North Atlantic. My wife works as a Danish and German teacher in the local grammar school in Vágur. After many hectic years in the building industry, I now work on a freelance basis in the tourist sector and write articles about the Faroes and Denmark for Wikipedia. At once you will, quite rightly, feel welcome to the Faroe Islands, which will offer you many exciting experiences.
