I have asked the U of Warwick to see if they have a photo we are permitted to use. Billlion 20:03, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Keep in mind that the question needs to be: "Are there any photos that can be uploaded under a free license such as the GNU Free Documentation License, Creative Commons Attribution / Share Alike, etc." Simply saying "Wikipedia can use this" is not sufficient, as Wikipedia is not the only user of the images that are on Wikipedia. I know this can be frustrating, but it's how copyright issues force and responsible site to work.
PS: It needs to be in writing. I'm not sure how legal email is, but I've accepted it for one of my own contributions in the past. This is not legal advice, though, and I am not a lawyer. -Harmil 21:18, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
I have suggested Tom Abbot at the UoW license it under GFDL. He has an account and that is the normal way to do it, ie by the copyright holder logging in. I am not sure what we would do with a paper letter? Billlion 10:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
