Eriodictyon trichocalyx is a member of the mint family (Lamiaceae) within the Hydrophyllaceae family.

It is also known as Hairy Yerba Santa.

Leaf extracts are used in traditional medicine in the treatment of asthma, rheumatism, blood purifier, and as a febrifuge.
